Our Story starts here

In the 1970s our grandfather, Irwin Dynes, along with his business partner, flew to Italy to source curtain poles to add to their portfolio of window furnishings. Their company became one of the first to import and supply wooden curtain poles to major department stores and independent retailers.

Move on a few decades and Irwin was importing wooden and metal curtain poles from around the world and manufacturing plastic track and components from a factory unit in Corby, Northamptonshire. His two daughters and their families worked for the company to help build the brand and grow the company. I can remember as a child, helping to count curtain rings into small bags as well as running around the warehouse hiding from my dad.

In the 1990’s he sold the business to Sunflex who now own the Swish, Integra and Harrison Drape brands.

The Business

In 2013, using our years of experience, we formed Fendow Ltd. Our business offers a familiar product range to that offered by my grandfather years ago. From that day the product range and company has grown by connecting with our customers and providing selective products and great service. We only sell products we personally believe in.

Lesley and I take care of customer service and product procurement; Matthew handles our website and he’s also the marketing man. Together we form a friendly family company, always on the same page regarding the vision, style and outlook for the business.

Our Vision

We were tired of the cheap, basic products on sale in popular multi national retail stores. We believe that a beautiful home enhances your life. Fendow wants to bring great quality curtain poles and tracks showcasing unique interior looks not available in most high street shops. All the products we offer are selected for good reason; style, quality, purpose and flexibility.

We are committed to quality and craftsmanship and you can count on us to offer high quality products at a fair price.
